Mission

At Power of Movement, our mission is to empower children—from infancy through young adulthood—to move with greater confidence, independence, and success. Through highly specialized, one-on-one pediatric physical and occupational therapy, our experienced clinicians combine advanced, evidence-based treatment with purposeful play and individualized care to help every child reach their fullest potential.

We believe families are essential members of the therapy team. By partnering closely with parents, caregivers, physicians, and other professionals—and providing practical strategies that carry progress into the home—we create a collaborative circle of support around each child.

We are equally committed to making exceptional pediatric care as accessible and affordable as possible. Our knowledgeable administrative team helps families navigate insurance authorizations, coverage requirements, appeals, and reimbursement challenges, reducing both financial stress and administrative burden so parents can focus on what matters most: their child’s growth and progress.

Vision

We believe a child’s abilities should never limit their opportunity to belong, participate, and thrive.

Our vision is a world in which every child—regardless of diagnosis, disability, or developmental challenge—is fully included, confidently engaged, and empowered to reach their greatest potential. Power of Movement is committed to setting the standard for exceptional pediatric physical and occupational therapy through advanced clinical expertise, individualized one-on-one care, and meaningful partnerships with families and medical providers.

We strive to give every child we serve the strength, skills, independence, and confidence to participate fully in childhood—and to carry that confidence into every stage of life.

Testimonials

When our pediatrician recommended physical therapy, I felt scared and uncertain. Melissa immediately put me at ease with a thorough evaluation and a clear explanation of our son’s needs. At 10 months, he could not sit independently; by 12 months, he was crawling, and by 15 months, he was walking. His progress was remarkable, and I trust Melissa completely.

Our son had moderate-to-severe torticollis that limited his ability to turn his head and affected his developmental progress. Within a few weeks of working with Melissa, we saw improved neck movement. She used songs and play during difficult stretches and remained vigilant and detailed throughout treatment. With her help, our son achieved his physical developmental milestones on schedule.

Power of Movement has been fantastic. Christine has helped our daughter make tremendous progress since she began therapy at 10 months old. She knows how to engage her through play while encouraging her through challenging exercises. Every therapist we have met has been outstanding, and the administrative and insurance process has been handled with exceptional responsiveness and attention to detail.
