Nicole Sproviero
PT, DPT
Nicole Sproviero is a Pediatric Physical Therapist at Power of Movement PT. Nicole became interested in physical therapy through playing sports and seeing the recovery process of athletes post injury. She attended the University of Connecticut for undergrad where she studied Allied Health Sciences. She received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from New York Medical College in 2012.
Nicole has experience working with the pediatric population since 2012. She has extensive experience working with the medically fragile population in a long-term care setting where she provides school-based physical therapy and supervises a team of physical therapists. Nicole has worked with children from birth to 22, including Early Intervention and Committee for Preschool Education programs. She enjoys working as a member of a multi-disciplinary team including occupational and speech therapists, nurses, doctors, respiratory therapists, and families amongst others, to help the child succeed.
Nicole takes continuing education courses to further her knowledge of pediatric skills. She has taken courses in all areas including NDT, kinesiotaping, gait, torticollis, sensory integration, manual therapy, and adaptive equipment. She also works collaboratively with New York Medical College to provide clinical education and hands-on experiences for students in the program.
