Alexandra Dantec
M.S. OTR/L, ASDCS
Alexandra Dantec is a Pediatric Occupational Therapist at Power of Movement. She graduated from Quinnipiac University in Connecticut in 2010. In her career, she has worked with people ages 1 - 103 years old; however, she now specializes in the pediatric population, working with kiddos from 6 months - 16 years old. In her years of working in pre-schools, elementary, middle and high schools, Alix has spent copious amounts of her time providing services to children who have diagnoses such as Autism, ADHD/ADD, Sensory Processing Disorder, Speech-Language Delay, Intellectual Disability, Developmental Delay, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy and generalized muscle weakness.
Alix has a strong passion for behavior observation and modification and visual motor and visual perceptual integration in both neurodivergent and neurotypical kiddos. Beyond the children, she has worked closely with the families who are caring for, and living life on a daily basis with these kiddos, working to adapt homes and support parents.
As an occupational therapist, she has been exposed to some of the greatest triumphs of the human spirit as well as some of the most difficult moments. Alix has a great respect for what she does and she brings her passion for quality into her career and daily life.
She currently has her Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist certification and is actively working toward her ADHD Clinical Services Provider certification.
She is a New York City native, born and raised in Queens, and currently living in Westchester County with her 2 dogs enjoying building LEGOs and reading in any free time she may have.
